ELIMINACION DE VARICES POR LASER

Varicose veins are a disease that affect veins of the legs.

By different means veins widen and expand, becoming tortuos.

Frequently they produce none or minimum symptoms, like unspecified pain or an uncomfortable sensation of heaviness, specially on evenings and at times of heat. Esthetic matters tend to be the main reason for people attending treatment.
One out of every ten persons suffers them, being more frequent in women, normally by the effect of pregnancy and the hormones.

The varices are formed due to a bad functioning of the valves of the veins of the legs.  These valves, help the blood to continue its path towards the heart.  When they function badly, the blood is blocked in the veins, widening them and causing the varices.

The elimination of the varices with laser is a procedure minimally invasive that is carried out in ambulatory manner, and that only needs of a small incision.  Through it and guided by ultrasound, a catheter advances (as fine as a spaghetti) through the vein safely and with the laser that it possesses it burns the vein to oclue it completely.

This does that the varicose superficial veins no longer suffer the effect of the pressure hydrostatics of the column of blood, and they dry out improving their appearance.  Once ocluded these varicose veins redirect the flow of blood themselves  toward other veins in good conditions and by themselves re-establish the normal flow.

The benefits of this procedure are:

  • Less than one hour intervention and provides immediate relief of the symptoms.

  • Patient returns immediately to normal activity with little or any problems.

  • There is not scar, since it does not require a surgical incision.

  • High rate of success (93% - 96%) and low rate of recurrence compared with those of surgery.

Esthetical as functional results are excellent and are at the same time combinable with any another conventional method of procedures.
